CG Scholarship – Full Details

CG Scholarship has an initiative started by the Social Welfare Department of the Chhattisgarh state. Cg Scholarship Portal provides lots of scholarships to the students from Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC) category. Cg Scholarship format also depends on the level of education, for the students from the pre-matric and post-matric levels it also varies. The Government of Chhattisgarh has started Chhattisgarh State Scholarship Portal 2.0 which is run by the Social Welfare Department. The Cg Scholarship has an official portal i.e. scholarship.cg.nic.in which has all the scholarships fall under the Government of Chhattisgarh.

About Cg Scholarship

The Government provides various scholarships under Cg Scholarship for welfare and to increase the literacy rate of the state. The Cg pre-matric and post-matric Scholarships are the two examples that are served by the Cg Scholarship for the benefit of Students. CG Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

CG Scholarship Eligibility Criteria has been set by the departments under which they are served. Students can check the eligibility criteria and benefits listed below in the table.

1	Pre-Matric Scholarship for SC/ST/OBC Students	Students should belong to SC/ST/OBC. Enrolled in pre-matric level education. Family Income should less than 2 lakh per annum.
2	Rajya Chatra Vritti Scheme	Girls from SC/ST in Class 3-5 are eligible. Boys from SC/ST/OBC in class 6-8 are eligible. The family of the applicant should not fall under the Income Tax. The family of the applicant should not possess more than 10 acres of land.
3	Post-Matric Scholarship for SC/ST/OBC Students	The annual family income of the student should not exceed INR 2.50 Lakh in the case of SC/ST applicants. The annual family income shall not exceed an amount of INR 1 Lakh in the case of OBC applicants. Students must be enrolled in the post-matriculation level.
4	Kanya Saksharta Protsahan Yojana	Only girls can apply. Girls should belong to SC/ST. Students should be enrolled in class 5 or above.
5	Unclean Business Scholarship Scheme	The applicant should be a student of class 1 to 5. The scheme is eligible for selective occupations and not on a class, the students of families working in the following occupations are eligible: Scavenging families, Flayer families, Tanners , Waste picking/ collecting families
6	Chief Minister Gyan Protsahan Initiative Scheme	The applicant should be a student of either class 10 or 12. The applicants should be meritorious students in their previous qualification. The applicant should be studying in Chhattisgarh Secondary Education Board (CGBSE), Indian Council Secondary Education (ICSE), or Central Board of Secondary Education Board (CBSE).
7	DTE Chhattisgarh Scholarship	The applicants must have scored at least 60% marks in their class 12. The institution from which the applicant has passed should be approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Benefits Under Chhattisgarh State Scholarship

Each Cg Scholarship has different benefits. These benefits are set by the departments by which the scholarship is run. Let’s read these benefits in detail.

1	Pre-Matric Scholarship for SC/ST/OBC Students	Girls from OBC will get the reward of INR 600 and boys will get INR 450. The girls from SC/ST will be rewarded with INR 1000 and boys will be rewarded with INR 800.
2	Rajya Chatra Vritti Scheme	Girls students of Class 3 to 5 will get a scholarship of Rs. 500 every year. Selected SC / ST students of Class 6 to 8 will get a scholarship of Rs. 800 (Girls) and Rs. 600 (Boys) per year. Eligible students from OBC of Class 6 to 8 will receive a scholarship of Rs. 450 (Girls) and Rs. 300 (Boys) per year
3	Post-Matric Scholarship for SC/ST/OBC Students	The eligible SC/ST hostellers will receive a scholarship worth INR 3,800 and non-hostellers will receive INR 2,250 every year. The eligible OBC candidates will be rewarded INR 1,000 for students of class 11 and INR 1,100 for class 12 students if they are hostellers and non-hostellers will be rewarded INR 600 per annum for students of class 11 and INR 700 per annum for students of class 12.
4	Kanya Saksharta Protsahan Yojana	Students who are eligible will be rewarded with INR 500 per annum.
5	Unclean Business Scholarship Scheme	Students who are eligible will be rewarded with INR 1850 per annum.
6	Chief Minister Gyan Protsahan Initiative Scheme	Students who are eligible will be rewarded with INR 15000 per annum.
7	DTE Chhattisgarh Scholarship	Students who are eligible will be rewarded with INR 2000 per month.
